Liechtenstein. That is a population of 33,000, 11 communities, 12.4 kilometres in width, 24.6 kilometres in length and mainly one landmark. Vaduz Palace. The Palace was built in the 12th century and is today the Royal Family’s residence, which is one of the oldest existing royal families in Europe.
In 1699 Prince Johann Adam Andreas bought the Herrschaft Schellenberg, in 1712 the county Vaduz and in 1719 he declared the bought properties Reichsfürstentum Liechtenstein (Principality of Liechtenstein). The Royal Family didn't move its residence to Vaduz Palace in Liechtenstein until 1938.
