Liechtenstein’s Royal Family is one of the oldest royal families in Europe. The family has more than 100 members, of which only some live in Liechtenstein.
The reigning Prince Hans-Adam II and Princess Marie, born Countess Marie Kinsky von Wchinitz und Tettau have four children: Heir to the throne Alois, Prince Maximilian, Prince Constantin and Princess Tatjana. As the oldest son, Alois who is married to Duchess Sophie from Bavaria, will inherit the throne. The Prince is the house’s ruler and guards according to the houses' rules its "reputation, honour and welfare". Prince Hans Adam II looks after the family’s wealth. This includes valuable art collections from various companies in the banking, farming and forestry sectors.
